The ovary is a small organ found inside a woman’s lower belly.
Women have two ovaries, one on each side of the uterus.
The ovaries make eggs, which are needed to have a baby.
Each month, one ovary lets go of an egg that travels to the uterus.
Ovaries also make hormones that help control the woman’s body.
Healthy ovaries are important for women’s health and having children.
