Epiglottis 会厌
The epiglottis is a small, soft flap found at the back of your throat.
It sits above your windpipe and moves each time you swallow food or drink.
When you eat or drink, the epiglottis closes to stop food from entering your windpipe.
This helps food and drink go safely into your food pipe and then to your stomach.
The epiglottis opens again when you need to breathe or talk.
A healthy epiglottis protects your lungs from food going the wrong way.
会厌是咽喉后方的小而柔软的盖子。
它位于气管之上，每次吞咽食物或饮水时都会移动。
你进食或喝水时，会厌会关闭，防止食物进入气管。
