Patella 髌骨
The patella is a small, round bone found at the front of the knee.
Many people call the patella the kneecap.
The patella covers the knee joint and protects it when you walk, run, or kneel.
Muscles and ligaments hold the patella in place and help it move smoothly.
Everyone has two patellae, one in each knee.
You can feel your patella if you touch the middle of your knee.
