Dentin 牙本质
Dentin is the yellowish layer found underneath the enamel of every tooth.
It is softer than enamel but still strong, and it gives the tooth most of its shape.
Inside the dentin are tiny tubes that lead to the center of the tooth, where nerves live.
If the enamel is worn away, hot or cold food can reach the dentin and make your tooth feel sensitive.
Dentin helps protect the soft parts inside your teeth from damage.
Because dentin cannot be seen without special tools, most people do not notice it until there is a problem.
牙本质是每颗牙齿釉质下面的一层淡黄色组织。
它比牙釉质软一点，但仍然很坚固，并且为牙齿提供基本形状。
牙本质里面有很多小管道，连着牙齿中间的神经。
如果牙釉质损坏，冷热食物就能碰到牙本质，让牙齿变得敏感。
