Nostrils 鼻孔
Nostrils are the two small openings at the lower part of the nose.
Each nostril lets air enter and leave the body during breathing.
Inside the nostrils, there are tiny hairs that help trap dust and dirt from the air.
Nostrils also help people smell different scents by letting air reach the smell nerves.
The size and shape of a person’s nostrils can be different and depend on family traits.
The left and right nostrils are separated by a thin wall called the septum.
