The University of Hong Kong (HKU) can be referred to in English as "Hong Kong University" or simply "HKU". It is a public research university located in Pokfulam, Hong Kong. It is the oldest tertiary institution in Hong Kong and is regarded as one of the top universities in the region. It was founded in 1911 and is a member of the prestigious League of Universities in the United Kingdom.
