"Journey to the West" is a Chinese literary classic written in the 16th century by Wu Cheng'en. It tells the story of the monk Xuanzang and his three disciples, Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, and Sha Wujing, as they journey to India to bring back Buddhist scriptures.

In English, the four characters are commonly referred to as "Monk Xuanzang," "Monkey King," "Pigsy," and "Sandy."
